About Me...

This is my view this morning as I'm writing - sitting on my front porch. How could you not write something in a place with this kind of view? What you can't see from the picture is that it's pouring down rain - awesome.

In the words of Mike Weaver (and about a hundred other worship songwriters)
"It's not about me - it's all about You..."
That's what we're supposed to promote as worship leaders, and as Christians. But then we all have this About Me section on our blogs or MySpaces... There's not really anything wrong with that - it's just ironic. Because, when you go to someone's site, what do you look at first...? the About Me section!

So I do have an About Me section just like everybody else. I just hope that that's not the unofficial theme of the way I live my life, according to the people who are stuck hanging around me. Most of us stage-type people have to struggle with that issue a little - keeping the focus off of us & on God, where it's supposed to be. I worry so much about it that I can barely even write in this blog for fear of taking myself too seriously.

My favorite quote of all times:
"The graveyard is full of indispensable men"
- Charles De Gaulle

So let's do our thing this weekend - let everybody think we're great musicians, great worship leaders, blah blah blah... Let's just not take ourselves that seriously. And remember that we're nothing on our own.

see you next time!

Welcome to the blogging world, friend! Thanks for the link love. Check out my latest endeavour at madchruchdisease.com (it is not yet completed) but if you feel like it is something you'd like to get behind (read "what others are saying") it would mean the world to me!
